A scene from a visit to Cape Hatteras National Seashore of guys fishing on the Rodanthe Pier on a warm summer night. The Rodanthe Pier is on Hatteras Island at Rodanthe, North Carolina on the Atlantic Ocean. Painting inspired by my own original photography from our visit. I am a professional photographer and artist, have been shooting digital since 1999 and before that I used film. I do a lot of stock photography work, shoot travel images for tourism companies, shoot portraits and just retired from wedding photography. I think I've done it all at one time or another in my 25 years as a photographer. I also paint from my photographs. I love scenery, landscapes, flowers, barns and houses, to name just a few. I have photographed and painted literally hundreds of barns and buildings and am working a little each day to upload my work to this site. Since I work for the tourism industry, I have a lot of travel imagery and some of it has also been painted or sketched. Thanks for visiting my art...

I think it is a trick to capture the effect of dim/night lighting, and you did it beautifully here, plus I love the composition of the figures.
